Trip to New York City!!!!!!!!

So on Friday right after school, the music department went on a trip to New York City!!!!!! My room mates were Bailey, Briana, and Aimee. we had an amazing time! :D the trip was Friday, Saturday, and we came home Sunday night at around 9:30.
Bailey (my bus ride buddy for the 7 hour bus ride)

we arrived at our hotel in Secaucus New Jersey at around 11:00 at night! me and Aimee shared one bed, and Briana and Bailey shared the one next to us. the clothes in our suitcases exploded everywhere as we debated what we wanted to wear the next day in New York City. Briana was the first to go to bed, then Bailey, then Aimee, and finally me at 3:00 in the morning. i was too excited to sleep LOL i woke up at 4:00 to take a shower and get ready. we all met downstairs at 6:00 for breakfast in the hotel.

Our view from our hotel window

Aimee and Bailey after breakfast getting our stuff together (purses, cameras, phones, etc.) for shopping, and touring the city

Bailey could not decide whether to wear shorts or jeans because it was cold and raining on Saturday. we told her to just wear the shorts and if she gets cold, bring the pants too to change into. she tried both on hundreds of times and just took our advice...after NBC studios tour she put her pants on over the shorts cause it was cold

first buildings we saw in New York

the bus dropped us off here, and right across the road is NBC Studios

NBC Studios

they were filming the Today Show outside, and we got to stand in the lines on the side and watch. we were also filmed so Saturday morning, we got to be on the Today Show!!! LOL

they wouldnt let us take pictures on the NBC tour, but this is before we went on the tour

enormous, (and over priced) gift shop

me and Bailey standing in line waiting to go on the tour

Bailey and Briana....we got to sit on many of the sets (one being "Saturday Night Live"), and in Bryan Williams News Room!

This is the only picture we got of us on the actual tour, which they took and we decided to buy

in the gift shop they had one of the chairs from the show "the Voice" so me and my friends decided to have some fun in the chair

once all the tour groups were finished, we all walked in our groups of friends to Time Square which was a couple blocks away. the traffic is absolutely insane! there were people on the sidewalk nagging you to buy tickets, or random stuff (just keep walking and dont make eye contact LOL) and a couple guys had a cardboard sign that said "not gonna lie, i need money for weed"....it is amazing how pathetic some people are

We reached Time Square!!!!

you can walk right next to the pigeons, and they dont move or fly away! its so weird, it reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where George had no luck with the pigeons and the squirrel.

Me, Aimee, and Bailey's first official Starbucks experience!!!! i tried a small Cappuccino (which was $5.00) it was sooooo good! there is like 5 Starbucks on every street of New York!

we walked into an enormous makeup store! it was so amazing. after picking up a $50 mini lipstick we put it down and decided to leave, because it was super pricey there, and we were short on time. the store had a DJ!

for lunch we decided to try a New York hot dog from a vender on the street, for only $3. it was really good!

all of our tour groups met up at a specific time under the "Hard Rock Cafe" so our buses could pick us up for a tour of Manhattan

the tour went to Central Park

this mosaic was in the very center of the park. its filled with tiny tiles

we passed the Smithsonian
Museum

the next place we stopped was over looking the City and Elise Island

The Statue of Liberty!!!

we headed to China Town for an hour, and this is some of the loot i got!!! a knock off Guess bag, 2 hair clips, a bracelet, and a large Juicy Couture perfume!!!! (only about $50 was spent total) LOL it was amazing! i love bargaining with the shops to lower the prices :) the perfume was only $10!!!!! he wanted it for $65 and i told him absolutely not, i dont have enough money. then he asked how much i had, and i said $8, i have no money. then he said $25, and i said no and i started to walk out, then he yelled fine, $10. :) Bailey gave me $2 LOL i pulled that at all of the shops and got everything at a great price. just as a warning to anyone who enters a China Town Shop...you have to buy something if you enter. it is practically impossible to leave the shop with out an object in your hand that you want to purchase. they swarm and attack you with merchandise and force it upon you. its a fun game to play actually. who gets to scam the other person, the customer, or the shop keeper. :) i absolutely loved it! if you dont know the right value of something they can make you pay insane prices for cheap items.

We went to HBU Burgers and had fries, nachos, and burgers!

Briana and me

me and Bailey

Alex, Mr. Hunkin's daughter, and Cody

The best day of my life!!!!!!! a picture with Batman, Captain America, and Spider Man!!!!! LOL is it sad that after the picture i asked Captain America for a hug? LOL Bailey ran up to him screaming with joy as she hugged him too. they were in Time Square. after dinner, we had and hour before the Broadway Play so we went shopping again.

the Theater we went to for the Broadway Musical "Spider Man" we couldnt take pictures, so i bought a T-Shirt, and i have the ticket stub. it was absolutely incredible!!!!!!!

Times Square at night. we had about 15 minutes till the buses came.  it was soooo beautiful! the pictures are so dull compared to how it was in person. to be right in the middle of Times Square with blazing lights surrounding you!

we got back to our hotel around 12:15, and we were still hungry (Cody and Alex took most of the food, so we didnt get enough for dinner). in one of the drawers we found a pamphlet of different delivery restaurants. we went with a pizza place (i dont remember which one) we ordered a large cheese pizza, 21 piece hot wings, and fries! it came around 1:30 and we brought it up to our room. the security guards on the floor were a little intimidating so we didnt really want to leave the room again. we realized there were no plates so we divided the box and ate on one of the beds. (there were so many kids, we bought out floors of the hotel and had all night security watching to make sure no one left or entered any of the rooms while we slept).

.....the demolished box afterwards around 3:00

on Sunday morning we woke up and left the hotel at 7:45 and packed all of our things since we wouldn't return back to the hotel :( we went to the Radio City Music Hall!!!!!!! it was soooooo beautiful! inside we got to get our picture taken with a Rockette!!! (we had to pay for it and i was low on money so i dont have it)

our tour group

under the stage

inside the woman's bathroom, which was so stunning! i loved the makeup desks and mirrors

Rockette outfits!

Stair case

Rockette outfits room

dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe!!! Briana, Andrew, Bailey and me at the table...we all got the pulled pork sandwhich :) i thought Bailey was going to pass out from seeing all the musical history in the building. she was freaking out over everything on the walls! LOL

guitar from Kiss

gift shop, i had practically no money left so i got a guitar strap pin for my guitar at home :)

its hard to see, but against the wall was the mens chorus singing the "John Williams is the Man" song from when we were on tour. all the people around them is some of the kids that went on the trip.

after they sang the first time, they decided to sing it again....in the middle of Times Square! (they are where the large group of kids are)

last photo i took as we left for home on the buses :( i definitely miss New York City alot. i loved it sooo much i could totally live there and be sooo happy. it felt like such a foreign place to me, but at the same time it felt like home, like i was supposed to be there. im am so in love with the City. :)
